Bohlen Handel GmbH

Bohlen Handel has its headquarters in Essen. The company is responsible for the planning and sale of pump vehicles for surface and underground operation. In addition, Bohlen Handel GmbH plans and assembles systems that produce explosive emulsions for the mining / raw materials industry. In addition, Bohlen Handel offers services related to the explosives emulsions industry.

The engineering and production of the emulsion systems are implemented within the framework of the existing capabilities and capacities of the Bohlen Industrie GmbH companies and in cooperation with other suppliers.

The portfolio of Bohlen Handel includes the following products and services: Chemical plants for the production of emulsions / emulsion explosives, construction and delivery of special vehicles / vehicle bodies and pumping units for opencast mining (SMS/MEMU) and underground mining, supply of equipment for logistical Support (e.g. supply stations, transport and storage containers), services related to systems and machines for the production of emulsions / emulsion explosives, safety studies (HAZOP), advice and procurement of services for the construction and operation of blasting work, etc., services and advice on approval and certification of machines and products in the field of explosive emulsions.

WASAG

In the mid-1950s, the brothers Berthold and Harald von Bohlen und Halbach took over four-fifths of the shares in WASAG Chemie AG (Westfälisch-Anhaltische Sprengstoff-Aktien-Gesellschaft). Together they made the company one of the leading suppliers of explosives in Germany through targeted acquisitions.

After the merger of WASAG Chemie AG with the H & R Group to form the new company H & R WASAG, the rights to the "WASAG" brand again belong to Bohlen Industrie GmbH.
